I Wept When I Saw You

I wept when I saw you
In the eye of a minnow,
as it darted anxiously.
In the polished shell of
a lady beetle on a tomato plant.
In the cottonwood seeds
floating lazily on the breeze.
In the things I remember doing,
but these days I'm older, and can't.
My eyes welled up
As you made my heart sing.
Couldn't believe I'd forgotten you,
O God of the Beauty in Small Things.
